Left-hander Danny Hultzen was scratched from his start on Tuesday night at Cheney Stadium by the Rainiers’ coaching staff for precautionary reasons after struggling to get loose pregame.
This definitely concerning for the Mariners since Hultzen had the same thing happen to him in April and he was shut down with a strained rotator cuff. He missed almost two months of the season.
There is no word yet to the extend of Hultzen’s issue. This would have been his second start since returning from the injury. On Thursday, he looked solid pitching six scoreless innings for the Rainiers.
